BASE REQUIREMENTS

PROVIDE
Availability (time, vulnerability, listening), encouragement (from a biblical and honest perspective), hospitality (welcoming into your personal space for meals/hanging out, while maintaining a safe, God-honoring, comfortable environment). We are not looking for perfect, Christian poster-board households. As long as your household is committed to upholding Jesus’s Way of Life and correcting/repenting of sin when it shows up is all we ask!
SUBMIT
Fill out the CSD Ministry Application and background check if you haven’t already.
WILLING
to invite go to a monthly meal with a Christian attending CSD that is in older stages of you in life (spiritually and literally) once every other
month.
INVITE
over the Christian that you’re pouring into for a meal once a month.
EXCHANGE
your phone number with that person (gender and age appropriately).
MEET
at least once a month outside of the meal for a check-in.

RULES

LISTEN
Don’t overload your conversations with your advice! It is absolutely important to SHARE what the Spirit lays on your heart when He does, but please focus on being a good LISTENER as well!
ENJOY
Do not require anything of your guest when it comes to your monthly meal. You’re here to serve them! If they insist on helping of course that’s okay, but otherwise lay no requirement upon them and enjoy their presence.
HONOR
Honoring your word and the base commitments will be HUGE. Even if all you can do is the “base requirements”, that’s FANTASTIC! We recognize that different families/individuals will be able to commit to different levels of time, but beyond the base requirements that’s up to you! your guest should not have any higher expectations beyond what’s described in the base requirements, but be open and welcome to any as they’re able.
HAVE FUN
Invite them to fun stuff with you/your family if it works out, see a movie together, find out common interests! The goal here is for the family of God to connect, support, love, and ENJOY each other while we all walk Jesus’s Way of Life. Your relationship should not be SOLEMN!
