Ladies Christmas Tea & Ornament Exchange 2024

Join us for a lovely morning of tea, delectable tea snacks, worship, an ornament exchange, and fellowship for this year’s Ladies Christmas Tea 2024! Carrie Hoffman will be speaking at our event which is always a wonderful treat. Carrie is Calvary’s Women’s Bible Study director and has an important message to share with us for this Christmas season. We will meet at 10:30 am and plan to conclude by 12:30 pm. Each woman who registers (including Table Hosts) should bring a gift-wrapped ornament to participate in a table ornament exchange. This will be led by our speaker during the morning. Women will hang onto their ornaments until the exchange begins.

We need women to host tables. Table hostesses will provide a savory snack and a sweet snack for their table, table settings for 8 people, and minister to their Ladies’ Tea guests. Men are encouraged to sign up to serve beverages and assist with set up and cleanup. We’re also prayerfully asking for additional clean-up crew members. WAYS TO SERVE

Check out the ways you can get involved with the Christmas Tea by hosting a table, helping serve beverages or assisting with cleaning up after the event. Learn more and sign up below.

Host a Table

Show Love Through Hospitality

Traditional Tea Food
Please provide one savory item (i.e. quiche, tea sandwiches, egg casserole, etc.) and one sweet item (i.e. muffin, pastry, sweet baked casserole). Fruit, cookie assortment, and a small treat will be provided.
Place Settings for 8 Guests + Decor
Please provide a dinner plate (disposable ok), cutlery (disposable ok), napkin, and water glass per guest. Be creative! The food will act as the centerpiece this year so consider decorating around it.
Tea Set
You will need a teapot, tea cups for each of your table guests, and a vessel for creamer. Coffee, tea bag assortment, bulk creamer, sugar/sweetner packets, and hot water will be provided with the beverage service.
Favor or Gift for Each Guest
This year there will be an ornament exchange. Please bring one wrapped ornament to exchange with one of the ladies at your table. Feel free to include a favor or gift for your guests. This is optional.

Beverage & Cleanup Service

Men Serving Coffee, Tea, Water, and Cleaning Up

Set Up Assistance
Assist with getting hot water, coffee, and water prepared for serving.
Serve Each Table
Meet the beverage needs of each table by refilling coffee and cold water as well as refilling tea kettles with hot water. Please note – men are asked to wear black pants and white button-down shirts (ties optional) for serving. Black aprons will be provided.
Assist with Clean Up
Assist with bussing away trash and leftover food so the women can pack up their table elements. This will also include emptying beverage dispensers and returning them to their original storage area.

Help Clean Up After the Event

General Event Cleanup
Help tables clear their dishes/decorations, and bag leftover foods in preparation for tear down.
Event Tear Down
Remove table linens, break down tables, help women tram items to their cars.
Vacuuming & Sanctuary Chair Resetting
Once tables and linens are cleared out we will need help vacuuming the floors and resetting the sanctuary chairs so the facility is ready to go for Sunday services!
