With all of that in mind and with much prayer we have realized that it would be best to take the 2025 year to prepare for VBS 2026. This preparation will include assembling a fundraising and outreach team to collaborate with Laura throughout the year to come up with new fundraisers and how to operate them. Doing so gives the team more than 6 months to raise the funds.

As we approach 2025, we have set 4 very intentional goals for ourselves and you the church.

1. We want to set up our 2026 VBS to be able to support and accommodate 200 kids!! For the past few years we’ve been running an attendance of about 100-125 children. I know we can bring in more kids to hear the gospel of Jesus Christ.
2. Our second goal is in conjunction with the first and that is, in order to accommodate 200 kids, we need to double our number of crew leaders. Would you the church please pray about joining our VBS team in 2026?
3. Again in order to accomplish a goal of 200 children we need to change our system of VBS preparation and fundraising to not be crammed into a short amount of time. So the goal is to appoint, at minimum, 4 new core leaders and teams to surround and support our children’s ministry director. Those core leadership positions are a Fundraising Leader, a Preschool Director, a Set Design Leader, and lastly an a Co-Director that oversees the day to day flow of VBS. 4. Lastly, our fourth goal is to use the 2025 year to fund our 2026 VBS again through fundraising and your generous donations. In taking the year to fundraise and plan we will have more opportunities to raise the support while also getting to see how to better serve the community we all live and serve in. In setting up this system, moving forward for years to come our VBS’ will always be self funded.
